2023 World Triathlon Multisport Championships

Like many women, Marcia McRoberts is a working mom, but unlike most of us, Marcia is also a world-class multi-sport athlete who will be representing Canada in her age group at the 2023 World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Ibiza, Spain, April 29th – May 7.

Marcia and her partner, Steve Benko, both qualified to represent Canada based on their times in the Bluewater Triathlon, Olympic Distance Duathlon.

For Marcia, competing against the best in the world is about more than just the race itself. “I am a 42-year-old mother of two beautiful kids. I'm hoping to represent not only Team Canada for my age group, but working mothers continuing to be dedicated to reaching their own goals.”

Age group athletes like Marcia do not receive funding. Representing Canada at the World Triathlon Multisport Championships is a fully self-funded program, and the cost to participate can become very expensive. Any support you can give is greatly appreciated.
