2023 USARS Nationals Organ Music Fundraiser

Hello USARS Skating Family and Friends:

I’m King Lee who is overseeing this year’s 2023 Live Organ at National’s Fundraising Event.

Mr. Ralph Brown has been playing at USARS Nations since 2016. Since that time fundraisers were instituted to raise the funds to support Ralph’s efforts to play at each of the Nationals of that given year. Nationals this year is in Lincoln, Nebraska. 2023 USARS National Figure Championships dates are from July 17th through July 31at.

It’s estimated that the expenses range from $3,000.00 to $4,000.00. Based on the current price of air fare tickets, transportation to and from Airport, rental of organ equipment, or transportation of the equipment to and from the venue, per diem expense of meals, and lodging expense during the duration of the period that Ralph is at Nationals. Ralph has volunteered his services each and every year he has played at Nationals and this year is no exception. Based on projected estimates this year fund raising effort will be $3,200.00

Last year a USARS Family member took the responsibility and paid a majority of the expenses. This fundraising period will be from May 19th through June 30th. We take things for granted and don’t realize the hidden expenses of a function during our events. We traditionally have those who donate each time this fundraiser is conducted. I am asking if you have ever skated to a live organ event at US Roller Nationals. To at least donate a dollar towards this fundraising effort. You know you’re standing on the National Floor getting ready to perform. When that great feeling hits you. When you hear it live and hear that organ down beat to start.

Any donations not used for the expenses and Go Fund Me administration costs from this season will be donated to the United States Foundation for Amateur Roller Skating.
