2023 Track Season

I have been in love with the sport of track and field for over 40+ years. It's not a hobby...it's my passion.

I have been part of the Masters Track & Field Family since 2015. This has been an amazing journey. Some ups, some downs. I've inspired some and been inspired by many. The comraderie and friendships I've made throughout this journey are priceless.

My 2023 Season has started. I was amongst the 1st athletes to run at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on January 13th at the new indoor track in Gainesville, FL. I have 3 major championship races on my radar to compete in. The 1st of which is our World Masters Athletics Championship in Torun Poland the end of March. I will also compete in local meets throughout the next 6 months to prepare for our Outdoor Championship meets.

As Masters Athletes, we cover all costs for the meets(registration, hotel, airfare, car rental, gas,  lodging, food, costs associated with training, etc...) As you can see from the list of expenses, things start to add up pretty quickly.
