1st ROSS FAMILY REUNION 2023 : Celebrating Life and Expansion
Purpose: Uniting all of Ross Descendents (over 100 members) from Arizona, California, Texas, Maryland, North Carolina, and Louisiana.
Fundraising Information: The first round of fundraising is designated for family t-shirts, lodging, venue, transportation, accessible accomodations, announcements, and security.
Background: Verlene and Adolphus Ross made the brave and courageous decision to relocate from Greenwood, Mississippi in 1954 escaping Jim Crow Laws, extreme racism, and illegal slavery towards a better, more hopeful, life. Setting their sights on California, the Universe intervened and they planted their roots in Arizona with everything in tow. Fast forward to now, the fruits of their labor, desires, wishes, and dreams have expanded to now 5 generations. In hopes of honoring their sacrifices and celebrating the expansion of life, the Ross family is planning the first family reunion in 2023.
Moving Forward: The second round of fundraising will begin in 2022. It will be geared towards costs for catering, activities, inclusion of extended friends and family, photographer, prizes, parting gifts, and miscellaneous necessities. After the first round commences, details about dates and venue will be announced promptly.
