Hi Friends,

I've never done anything like this before, but I am trying to raise money to attend the pilgrimage in Nepal, March 28 to April 8, 2023 to see my Buddhist teacher, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

I feel that this pilgrimage would be very valuable to my path and an amazing opportunity to receive teachings and blessings from Rinpoche in Nepal. I have never been to this area of the world where the Buddha was born, where Padmasambhava practiced, and where my root guru lives.

This historic and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will also include the enthronement of Jetsun Drukmo, Rinpoche's eldest daughter, as his lineage holder and heir. What an amazing experience it would be to be able to be present for this momentous occasion!

As many of you know, I have been working and volunteering in the Shambhala organization for the past 15 years. I am currently the Director of Practice & Education at the Boulder Shambhala Center. Despite the fancy title, many of you know working in Shambhala is an excellent opportunity to serve and practice and try to keep the vision of the Sakyong lineage alive, but the pay is very low. (While the cost of living in Boulder is very high.)
