2023 Freestyle Kayaking World Championships

Hi, my name is Issie Wormall, and I have been selected to represent Team GB at the Freestyle Kayaking World Championship in Columbus, Georgia, USA this October. As a 15-year-old kayaker I'm eager to show the world what I can do on the water. However, I need your help to get there.

I have spent countless hours training and competing, always striving to improve my skills and push myself to new heights. Last year I competed at the World Championships in Nottingham coming 7th overall as a junior women and competed in many other competitions with great results. Competing at the World Championship is the ultimate validation of my hard work, but it comes with a significant cost. As freestyle kayaking is not an Olympic sport, we receive limited funding, and the cost of travel, accommodation, and equipment for the competition is beyond what I can afford.

My goal is to raise £3,500 to cover the costs of my trip to the World Championships. This includes airfare, accommodation, transportation, as well as any necessary equipment and coaching fees. Any additional funds raised will go towards my on-going training and my development as a kayaker.
