2023 Annual Giving Campaign
Tax deductible
During this season of giving, please help us help Veterans in need throughout the Region.
For over 30 years, it has been The Kaufman Fund's mission to support Veterans in the St. Louis region who are at risk of abuse or poverty or are in need of food, shelter, clothing, medical care or other basic necessities - and we need your help. As a 100% volunteer organization with no paid employees, we give away nearly 90% of all funds raised.
Like many non-profits in 2023, we looked to expand our available resources to meet the challenging economic environment and found the needs of our Veteran community to be ever-increasing.
The Kaufman Fund provides services to Veterans directly through our multiple TKF-run programs:
• The Dental Referral Network
• Legal Referral Program
• Mental Health Collaborative
• Trees4Vets program that provides Christmas trees and stands to over 300 families each year
• Food for Vets program (launched in 2021) that provides food monthly to food-insecure Veterans
• Artist First program (launched in 2022) providing art therapy resources to Veterans suffering from PTSD.
• New in 2023 - The Captain Todd Wahl Chiropractic Referral Program
• New in 2023 - Tax Prep for Vets.
Each in-house program directly tackles the needs of Veterans throughout the St. Louis region and, through partnerships and collaborations, provides services to those in need.
In addition to our direct programs, The Kaufman Fund has raised and distributed over $1.5 million to help local Veterans and their families. Each year a portion of those dollars support our in-house programs, but we also provide grants to area organizations that provide resources to area Vets.
In fact, in 2023, we were able to provide tens of thousands in grants to organizations providing services such as:
• Providing help to homeless Veterans and their families.
• Finding housing for unemployed Veterans.
• Assisting families of deployed Soldiers with emergency funding, clothing, food and shelter.
• Helping veterans with PTSD receive equine and dog-assisted therapy.
• Sending care packages to deployed service members.
• Supporting Veterans with transportation for school, doctor appointments, and other transportation needs families with housing, food, and transportation.
• Enabling Veterans to connect to their respective war memorial in Washington D.C. – covering all expenses.
• Donating funds to support scholarships for Veteran's children.
• Supporting the Patriot Guard Riders for fallen service members.
• Providing support to Disabled-low income Veterans that own homes with needed repairs.
We ask you to join us in supporting those who have selflessly served our country as we look to fill the gaps in care and resources they now need.
