2022 SF Bay Area Bid for Gay Games

We are the 2022 San Francisco Gay Games Bid Committee, charged with creating a Bid for the 2022 Games to come to the San Francisco Bay Area.

The 2022 Gay Games in San Francisco will be:
• 7 Days of incredible fun, sports and cultural events
• 30+ individual and team sporting events
• 70+ Countries will be represented
• 10,000+ Athletes of all skill levels will participate
• 30,000+ Supporters and spectators will watch and   cheer

The Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee (BASOC), veteran of many sporting event Bids, is acting as the fiscal agent for the 2022 San Francisco Bid. BASOC is a 501 (c-3) non-profit. www.basoc.org 

Inportant dates & Timeline for  the first part of the Bidding Process:
• June 30, 2016 Letter of Intent to Bid submitted with a $2500 fee to the Federation of Gay Games (FGG)
• July 31, 2016: $5000 fee to be submitted to FGG
• November 30, 2016 Bid Book will be submitted to FGG with the required $7500 submission fee

Please join us, help us win the Bid and produce the Best Gay Games Ever - great weather, outstanding venues, impressive Universities, extraordinary corporate community and diverse culture - we believe there is no better place than the San Francisco Bay Area to exhibit the themes of the Gay Games "participation, inclusion and personal best."

This will be our first fundraising campaign - we are anxious to involve as many people as possible - please contribute from $5.00 to no more than $50.00 so as many people as possible have the opportunity to support the 2022 San Francisco Gay Games Bid effort.

Since 1982, the Gay Games have been the "Games that Change the World", innovation and openess in sport, joyful cultural expression, equality and tolerance.
