Major Moves Mentoring Program is starting this GoFundMe account to raise money to participate in the "What It Takes Training," Basketball Spring Break Camp from April 11-18 at the Victory Merrick Youth Center in Washington, DC.

As Major Moves Mentoring Program mentors, we feel this experience would be vital to the maturation of our mentees into young leaders at school, home and in their communities. Attending this basketball camp is another way to strengthen their bonds and forge a brotherhood amongst our mentees.

The "What It Takes Training," Basketball Spring Break Camp teaches teamwork, discipline, dedication, determination and communication skills while learning the fundamentals of basketball. The Basketball Spring Break Camp requires a $200 fee per participant, so we are trying to send 15 of our most deserving mentees to represent the program to learn and grow for this once in a while opportunity. All help in this effort is welcomed and APPRECIATED.

Major Moves Mentoring Program was founded in September 2017 at Rocketship Rise Academy in Southeast, Washington, DC. Our mission as a program is to groom young boys into active and willing leaders at school, home and in their community. Major Moves Mentoring Program introduces and instills monthly core values in our mentees that they practice, have weekly goals, and are encouraged to track their progress with that particular skill. Through education and concentrated effort, we believe that our mentees will become leaders within all of their environments.
