Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters!

My name is Sarah Joseph, and I am currently a 20-year-old junior at the University of Central Florida majoring in Legal Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education. It is with much delight to tell you all that I have the honor of being contestant #3 of the Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant sponsored by the Xi Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated!

During the last two years of the pandemic, many people in our communities have faced new hardships that make living exceptionally harder. With Florida already leading the country with thousands of unhoused people, there are members of our community going hungry right before our eyes. As your next Miss Black and Gold, I vow to use my platform to battle food insecurity in the surrounding community by establishing community fridges in food deserts throughout Orlando with the help of the brothers of the Xi Iota Chapter.
