2022 Yampa Valley Pride

We are a volunteer grassroots committee of LGBTQIA+ people in Steamboat Springs, Colorado who planned the first large-scale public pride event in this region in June of 2021. People of all ages attended and participated in planning, especially youth.
We are now working to make Pride a sustainable annual event. We also build community and connection throughout the year between LGBTQIA+ folks and allies by planning smaller-scale events, such as coffee hours.
Our hope is for Pride 2022 to be bigger and better! We had over 150 attendees last year despite a rainstorm- a large showing for a first-time event in a small community. We anticipate that number increasing next year.
These funds will be used for things such as

- Location reservations
- Fundraising efforts
- Waste and restrooms
- Food and water
- Advertisement of events
- Entertainment
- Decorations
- All funds will be used for needs strictly related to events hosted by Yampa Valley Pride to increase visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community in our region and build connection between its members.
