2022 STEM League Developer Program Fund
In 2020, I started the STEM League Developer Program during pandemic lockdown that was an inspiration from my own experiences as a UW CS student and as a CSE Teaching Assistant. Rooted behind our passion to help underserved students in the midst of an unexpected pandemic, my team of 50+ college student mentors taught over 300+ 6-10th grade students around the world to develop their first coding projects and create a supportive learning community for students.
The 2020 Developer Program has been recognized by Microsoft, T-Mobile, UW CSE Department, UW ECE Department, and Parent Map (sponsored by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) and we are very grateful for the support from local companies and institutions. Our team volunteered hours out of their spring & summer to craft 8 weeks of curriculum for our Data Programming and Web Development Tracks, teaching Python and HTML/CSS/JS.
If you could help us provide any support, we would greatly appreciate it.
We hope we could work with you to transform CS education for the next generation of young students, specifically targeting students from underserved communities.
Thank you so much for your time and let's continue to work together to build accessible STEM education for the future generation of students.
