2022 Montana Folk Festival

After two years of postponements due to the spread of COVID-19 that sidelined the 2020 and 2021 Montana Folk Festivals, we are now on track to bring back one of the largest outdoor celebrations of traditional music, dance, arts and ethnic cuisine in the Northwest on July 8-10, 2022.
Mainstreet Uptown Butte, the lead non-profit that has organized the festival for the past 12 years, will again organize and present the festival in Butte, Montana, the best place to hold such an event in all of Montana and the West.
Now that tested and effective vaccines are now widely available, we are hoping that the pandemic will be a tragic memory for most of us by next summer with more and more taking advantage of the scientific breakthroughs in vaccination against the COVID-19 virus.
If you have not done so already, please get vaccinated so that we can come together once again next July.
Our love and gratitude to the thousands who have been loyal fans all of these years and have continued to join us each summer in Butte. Your health and safety are at the heart of the process to decide to postpone this year’s event and to bring it back when it is safe. For all who were making plans to join us, we hope that you will join us again when we return next July 8, 9 and 10, 2022.
The Montana Folk Festival Executive Committee and our partners with the Butte-Silver Bow County government share a deep appreciation to all who continue to support us. We are already getting busy planning a bigger and better festival for the summer in 2022.
