2022 MDI YMCA Sharks Aquathon

Tax deductible
The 2022 Mount Desert Island YMCA Sharks Aquathon will be held February 6 & 12. The Sharks are a swim team of about 100 participants ranging in age from 6-18. The team has children the learning basics of the competitive swimming, taking part in local competitions while others are competing in National meets.
The Aquathon will again be the only fundraiser for the Sharks Swim Team during this 2nd year of the pandemic. The Sharks have been conducting the annual event for over 40 years and continue to have the support of the the MDI community and beyond. The Sharks will be diving into Shark (COVID-19) infested waters to swim as many laps as they can in 1 hour. Pledges can either be made by lap or a set sum. All swimmers have been given a realistic goal of what they can achieve in 60 minutes.
All funds that are raised will go to help offset the cost of running the most successful youth sports program on the island. This will turn keep programs fees lower allowing more swimmers to participate in the program. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this program that means so much to the Mount Desert Island youth.
