2022 Galley Head Swim - Daniel Kavanagh

On Saturday 9th July, I'll be taking part in the 2022 Galley Head Swim. This swim, just in its fourth year, has become a hugely successful event which raises money for three great charities: Marymount Hospice , West Cork Underwater Search & Rescue, and the Irish Community Air Ambulance .

The event is a challenging 10km open water swim starting at Red Strand in West Cork. From there, participants will swim out beyond Galley Head before turning for Warren Beach. For safety, each swimmer requires their own boat to track them as they swim. I'm grateful to Ivan Archer, who has kindly agreed to help me out with this on the day.

Any donations received are very much appreciated. All funds raised go directly to the three charities and do not cover any event costs. In addition, my employer SOSV has very kindly agreed to match any funds I raise.
