2022 Arctic Cross "Sender Ramps" Fundraiser
Hey Everyone...Cross is Coming!
We’ve heard racers ask for continued improvement to the racing experience and we love that feedback!
Here’s something we are really excited about, but we’ll need your help. We want to have a “skills area” off the course with wooden ramps and features where kids and adults can practice. We hope this will help with skills progression and provide yet another fun thing to do before and after the races. ArcticCross plans to acquire a set of Sender Ramps (https://sender-rampsusa.com) and skills features. These ramps, rollers, and planks are incredibly easy to assemble, sturdy, compact, re-configurable, and will be durable for years to come.
Features will be placed in a central area at each race, making it easy for parents to keep tabs on kids who are using the ramps. One key goal is to create an area where kids and adults can practice together (and maybe give parents some space so they can focus on their races). We’ve seen similar ramps used at MightyBikes during the past two seasons. These features were incredibly popular and provided excellent coaching opportunities.
Once we have raised enough funds to place an order, we’ll select an assortment of ramps appropriate for our cyclocross community, some for kids, beginners, and more advanced riders too. Examples of the types are ramps we are considering are listed below and are also viewable on the Sender Ramps website (https://sender-rampsusa.com).
Expert Progression Ramp
Progression Pump Roller
Play Station

We are also looking for volunteers to help set up and take down the ramps. If you want to help us in that role, please contact Chris at [email redacted] (dot) com or by pinging us on the ArcticCross Facebook page!
Thank you for helping ArcticCross!
