Walter Sarnoi Oupathana 2024 Paris Olympic Boxing

As the sole, Boxing representative for the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifications for Laos , I will be earning an opportunity to qualify for the country starting this August 2023 until May 2024. I will be making an attempt to qualify for the country of Laos, since the last representative was in 1992! Started training camp March 2023, and so far, it’s been very tough as nails on my body. Just wanted to say thank you for your support throughout all these years and coming along on this journey with me. I will continue to provide updates on my upcoming competitions and training camps overseas.

The National Olympic Committee is able to cover a certain amount. I need help funding as I have taken time off from work to focus on training camps, (sparring partners), for the olympic qualifiers, upholding my health and well-being.

My goal is to become the first Lao Olympic Medalist, thereby also meeting another personal goal to inspire our youngsters to pursue their dreams.

This is the 3rd time in boxing history that they are allowing professional boxers to compete in the Olympics. 

I am grateful for this opportunity of a lifetime that came when the Lao Boxing Federation & Olympic Committee of LAO P.D.R. supported my vision to develop sports in the country while representing the country of LAO P.D.R. and win their 1st olympic medal ever.
