2021 Nations Ford Elementary T-Shirt Drive

SPX FLOW has partnered with Nations Ford Elementary School for over 5 years to help support students and teachers in a variety of different ways, such as reading celebrations, campus beautification projects, teacher appreciation events, and more. This fall, we have been asked to provide t-shirts to be worn for the celebration of the 20th day of school on September 23rd.

For Nations Ford Elementary, the 20th day of school marks the deadline for students to enroll. On this day, the student attendance number is officially recorded, and it can impact teacher allotments among other factors. With this in mind, NFES generates a ton of excitement around their 20th day celebration. Faculty and Staff heavily promote this day to ensure that students are eager to be counted in the attendance report.

Considering the impact of COVID-19 on student attendance, it is especially important to promote attendance and create enthusiasm about coming to school. Despite the support we've given over the years, with the COVID-19 outbreak and its numerous downstream impacts, today is likely the most vulnerable the Nations Ford community has been in recent memory. For many of the children, the school is often the only option for meals each day, and it provides a safe learning environment that cannot be replicated at home.

Nations Ford continues to provide for their students and teachers during these challenging times, such as the daily feeding line they offer families in the community. With schools returning to in-person learning, it is important to ensure that the students remain excited about learning in-person and attending school.

With that in mind, we are launching a campaign to raise money to purchase t-shirts to be worn for the 20th day of school celebration. If you are able to help, we ask that you give what you can to support continuous education for our friends and neighbors at Nations Ford. As a reference point, $5 provides one student with one shirt or $20 provides for 4 students.
