Who we are
Established in 2008, Give to the World’s mission is to empower the world's most vulnerable people with life-saving resources in conflict affected areas across the globe. Our efforts and humanitarian supplies save lives, restore dignity, strengthen communities and build the foundations necessary for stability and democracy.
Give to the World has provided life-saving resources in some of the most difficult to reach and unstable areas of the globe. We provide and guide donations to the areas where they will have maximum impact. Using knowledge and expertise of our team and our partners, we provide support when and where it is most needed. Our approach is beneficiary driven - we respond to the stated needs of the communities where we serve and adapt our support to our partners as those needs change. Once these critical resources are delivered, we monitor their use to ensure accountability, and we take every necessary precaution to protect the safety and security of our beneficiaries and partners.
Our Impact
Donations have had a huge impact, allowing Give to the World to serve some of the world’s most vulnerable people in 11 countries across the globe. Most recently, from 2018 to 2020, Give to the World provided essential resources in the form of critical medical supplies, vital medicines, life-saving food, and clean water to 110,787 people. Of these, 40,000 people were provided access to clean water alongside maintenance training to ensure sustainability in 2020 alone; a considerable impact considering that clean water, sanitation and hygiene has the potential to prevent at least 9.1% of the global disease burden. Give to the World also supports the 'Work Forward' program in which single mothers in South America are given supplies to start a coffee business to provide a sustainable income.
In 2020, COVID-19 caused further widespread distress. To help combat COVID-19, we supplied 8,320 people with items of PPE, including N95 masks, gloves and hand sanitizer across Latin America, Pakistan and Syria. In Syria, our donations of PPE allowed for the safe treatment of 2,000 patients per month, including internally displaced people, refugees, and host communities.
How we operate
We maximize every dollar through our 100% volunteer run operations and well-established business practices. Our minimal costs enable us to run a highly efficient charity that provides 97% of funding toward achieving our goals and ensuring the greatest possible impact for those we serve.
