Darkness only makes the light shine brighter. Challenges only make the victories more triumphant. Being apart only makes us cherish when we can be together. Together, we can accomplish tasks that would seem impossible on our own.

This past year, the entire Avalon staff has worked together on a daily basis to re-open and stay open during the pandemic. It has always been a priority to be able to serve our community while also keeping everyone safe. We are so thankful to our Avalon community’s generosity which made it possible for us to have air purifiers in every room, biweekly covid testing and proper PPE for all staff.

Our teachers and specialists have continued to develop innovative ways to deliver services to our students in a meaningful way, for both students who are in-person and for those who have opted to remain virtual. It has been incredible to see our community and school only grow stronger in the midst of a year filled with many challenges. We have each other and you, our greater Avalon community, to thank for this. Every donation has truly made a difference. As a non-profit, we rely on fundraising to meet many of our school’s needs. This season of fundraising will go towards providing respite for families through in-person services as well as building costs, recruiting highly qualified staff, technology for our students, and continued costs of covid precautions.
