Scott Anderson
Donation protected

Sadly, Scott reached the end of his battle with ALS on July 1st. He and his family have fought this horrific disease with grace and strength all along and it was no different at the end.
Selflessly, Scott decided a few years back, that at the time of his passing, he wanted to donate his brain to the Mayo clinic. He hoped that his donation could support research into the treatment and cures for this neurodegenerative disease to help others. While this is a donation to the Brain Center, the procedure is not covered by insurance. Having said that, we are asking that you dig deep and help provide the family with continued assistance and help Scott and the family with his final wish to help others.
When Scott was officially diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) 6 years ago, the Anderson family had an unforeseen battle that was totally unexpected. Thankfully, they continued to be blessed with a huge circle of family and friends and an outstanding community in Vernon that we know will help the Andersons begin the healing process. The family appreciates and feels the continued help, support and prayers that hold them strong physically as well as spiritually.
Given the current timing and Covid19 , we felt it best to make the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. We understand that many people in the community - our golfers, volunteers, local businesses, friends and family - look forward to the yearly event as much we as do. In place of the event this year, we have started a GoFundMe account so the family can receive the continued support of the community. Please take a moment to provide your support via GoFundMe.
We are hoping to be back with the Scott Anderson Memorial Golf Outing next year and will work with the family while they begin to heal.
Thank you for consideration and support.
