Last summer, my family and I participated in the Purple Walk held by Epilepsy Toronto in support of my mom, who suffers from temporal lobe epilepsy. The walk was held 5 days before my mom's brain surgery. One year later, after a successful surgery, my mom is still on her road to recovery and remains enthusiastic about spreading awareness for this disease.
1 in 100 people in Canada is touched by epilepsy, so this year, Epilepsy Toronto is organizing a #1in100 "Virtual Purple Walk", where participants are encouraged to do 100 of something of their preference.
On July 11th, to show our support for Epilepsy Toronto, my brother, Jared, and I will be cycling 100 km for our own "Virtual Purple Walk". Jared and I are hoping to do our part by raising $500.
Please feel free to donate to either this GoFundMe or directly to Epilepsy Toronto. All donations are appreciated!
