2020 Americans

Donation protected
What does it mean to be an American in 2020?  How does it feel to live here right now?

Two artists, one a photographer and cinematographer, and the other a film editor, are traveling across America right now in a Mini Cooper to find out. 2020 Americans is an art installation and a documentary in the making, as the artists embark on a journey to photograph and record 2,020 people telling their personal stories during this change-making year. The portraits and interviews unpack the crises, highlight the heartbreak, and expose the hopes and opportunities happening in real time.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to cover the costs of the multi-month  voyage into America’s collective psyche. The funds will support travel, accommodation, and materials to create the 2,020 silver gelatin black and white prints and documentary. Their journey will culminate in a traveling art installation across the U.S. including print and film projection. The documentary will be entered into film festivals around the world with the hope of being streamed and broadcast on television.

The artists and producers of 2020 Americans are grateful for your support and invite you to join us on our journey. You can follow us on Instagram and Facebook: @2020Americans.
