Hello, I am a Disabled Veteran asking for your help.
I have C4 incomplete quadriplegia from my Army service and later developed degenerative spine disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis and then Multiple Sclerosis.
I bought a home for my family to live in with my VA Loan in Pernitas Point, TX. It passed VA inspection and Pest. The only disclosure we had from the Sellers was active minor termites outside facing the lake on the rear of the house trying to damage the deck in 2 spots. The Sellers termite tented it.
After purchasing we were remodeling and removing 1/2” 4x8 OSB from the ceiling & walls, my husband noticed so much termite destruction he stopped remodeling to make the home ADA accessible for me.
I purchased a home for $94,000.00 to live in & now we are living in our RV next to the house.
We are suing the Sellers. It could take up to 2years to settle;
The house was surveyed by a structural engineer (cost $1500.00) he recommended a full “tear down.” Cost to repair $50,000.00;
Our mortgage insurance does not cover termite damage.
Sellers lied to us!! They did not disclose this full house damage AND they covered it with wooded sheets to hide it from view.
Our expenses are:
Attorney’s Fees (unknown amt @$190.00/hr),
Structural Engineer Fee’s $1500.00 and Construction costs up to 50,000.00.
Please, Please Please help if you can...pictures & survey are attached.
