The pandemic going on right now has taken the lives of many loved ones and we are faced with the heart break of losing someone so dear to our hearts. It is with my heavy heart that I am writing for my dear friend and mentor Hortense Jackson. Hortense Jackson was a beautiful ray of light in this world of chaos. She was a magnificent woman who was not only successful but extremely intelligent. Hortense was also an admirable highly educated nurse who started as a frontline worker and was now currently the director of patient services. No matter the day Hortense always remained hard working, positive, and extremely compassionate to others around her. Hortense was wonderful daughter, mother ,wife, grandma and friend that I have always looked up too. With Nurses week and Mothers day around the corner we would all just like to acknowledge how much she has done in the health field whilst raising her beautiful kids and grandkids. The things she has accomplished in this life was extraordinary and we will all miss her radiant smile. Unfortunately Hortense lost her battle with this terrible virus on May 7th after fighting for her life for over a month !!! Living behind beautiful children, grandchildren, husband , mother and so many friends ....
