Tucked away in a wooded suburb of Chicago lies a place where magical healing happens every single day. A place that offers relief to residents from the City of Chicago to all over the country with debilitating symptoms from such events as concussions, stroke, partial/full paralysis, migraines, insomnia and much more.
This place, the Neurologic Wellness Institute, is often discovered after a person has exhausted their resources and spent years of their lives in utter confusion, pain, depression and desperation trying to find the type of care that resides here.
But once uncovered, this gem unlocks answers and solutions for neurological and neuro/metabolic challenges. Patients see a team of highly skilled doctors who have a unique approach, with knowledge, techniques and a love for helping people that are second to none. A level of care that ultimately transforms the patients health and quality of life where others have failed.
Their speciality, Functional Neurology. It is a specialized branch of healthcare that diagnoses and treats neurological conditions, ranging from simple to extremely complex, without the use of drugs and without surgery.
While the care offered at The Neurologic Wellness Institute is unmatched, it’s also intensive. Costs for travel, frequent treatments at the onset, and gaps in insurance coverage quickly add up and can leave the patient even more desperate.
This year, 30 Warriors will Swim and Run the entire coastline of Chicago to raise funds for people who would greatly benefit from this treatment but do not have the means to see this wonderful group of doctors. This 20+ mile journey will take us from the tip of the northside of Chicago to the south side. We will pass through 15 zip codes, see world class sights, while embracing the challenge of swimming 3+ miles and running 17 more.
Our goal of 5k will help give a few patients a jump start into the care of this unique team.
