As you can imagine, there are costs associated with putting on an event like this. Over the years, friends and colleagues have generously donated money and materials to help me: some have provided items to go into the prize baskets, while others have donated materials like the baskets themselves or helped cover printing and other supply costs. I am starting this GoFundMe as a way to offset those administrative and overhead costs. The best way to think of it is that the money donated here will help me actually put on the event, so that more of the money raised the night of the event can go to help animals in need. Funds raised here will pay for things like printing services for posters, flyers, and programs; rehearsal space; hiring the musical accompanist; advertising; transportation; and various administrative costs.
Any GoFundMe balance remaining after overhead has been covered will go directly to this year's charity, Angels of Animals.
This won’t be the only way to contribute. You will still have ample opportunities to win prizes, prior to and during the event!
