2018 USA U23 M4+ to World Champs

To the Friends and Family of the USA U23 4+,

We are very eager for another summer of International Rowing for our USA athletes.  Last year (2017), we sent a men’s coxed-four to the U23 World Championships and came home with the Bronze Medal; this year we aim to exceed that result, and we believe we have the team to do it.

The USA U23 Men’s 4+ is a trials event, meaning the crew must qualify to be named to the official USA U23 Men’s Rowing Team. The team we are sending to the U.S. Trials on Lake Carnegie on July 5th was selected from the U23 Selection Camp group, and features five of the top U.S. Collegiate athletes from across the country.

The cost of travel and competition is entirely self-funded. As you may know, it isnt easy getting to Poland! Our goal is to raise around $6,000 per person in the boat to help cover airfare, equipment, room and board for the trip. If fundraising exceeds our goals, we would welcome the idea of sending the boat to Erba, Italy to join their training partners, the USA U23 8+ and 4-.

We believe this team has the qualities to medal at the U23 World Championships and push for the gold, and we are asking for your help to create the opportunity for these athletes to compete.

Thank you and GO USA!
