4th Annual AMIKids Thanksgiving

We are so excited to share a Thanksgiving meal with the students of AMIKids again this year! The kids are so excited and ready to also prepare a Thanksgiving meal with their own families!  We will share in this meal on Tuesday, November 21st at 3pm, but will need volunteers throughout the entire day!
If you are able to donate, great, but more importantly please, PRAY that lives will be changed!

We will again this year have a Christmas Party with the students on Thursday, December 21st and are looking for volunteers to help with this effort. There's a pizza & make your own ice cream sundae Party and an annual Corn hole tourney...It is so rewarding and uplifting to see Christ working through these students lives.

The mission of AMI Kids:

In order for our communities to prosper, we must provide our kids with a high quality education and essential life skills to become responsible and productive citizens. For kids striving to become contributing members of the community, obstacles to achieving success can seem unachievable.

Many of today’s youth face a variety of challenges: violence, family dysfunction, and the pressure of using drugs and alcohol. These challenges do not have to define our kids. Our kids can overcome. Our kids can be successful. Our kids can achieve. Together, we can assist our kids to separate a troubled past from a bright future.

Why give?

Your donation will help to support programs to enrich and encourage the students of this school. Community members are joining together to help this school achieve its mission. In practical terms, this means not just bring a meal to the students, but interacting with the students and having them help cook there own Thanksgiving dinner. For some students, this could be the first the time they have had true Thanksgiving feast. By making the students part of the preparation of the feast, the students build skills and confidence that transcend the classroom. Financial support of this effort will allow us to provide every child in the school with a Thanksgiving feast that they can take home and prepare for their family.

As the Holiday season begins, we often see a time of great giving, closeness of family, and reflection on the year gone by. For students that come from a troubled past, this season can be a time of challenge. Often, they have a difficult home life, a need to find a positive future, or perhaps they are simply looking for security in this world. Beyond the Thanksgiving feast, your donation will support holiday events for students and their families. The goal of which is to build strength through a partnership between school, students, families, and the community.

Your support will be used to empower and strength the students of AMI Kids. These funds will be used for programming that will encourage the students to pursue a brighter future and help the separate a trouble past from a brighter future.
