2017 Women's National Golden Gloves

Hi! My name is Arika Skoog. I moved to Boston almost 2 years ago to attend a one-year accelerated Master's program, during that time I not only earned my Master's in International Business but I also started boxing and completely fell in love with it. I have been boxing seriously for about a year now. I won my first title this past November in the Rocky Marciano tournament. 

Following that, I was very excited and focused on fighting in the New England Golden Gloves. I ended up winning the Central New England 141lb Novice division and am extremely proud to announce that I then went on to win the All New England Championship 141lb Novice title. 

Now that the Regional Golden Gloves are over, I will continue training hard and will be looking forward to winning my 4th title this July (10th-14th) in Florida at the Women's Golden Gloves Nationals.  

Any donations will not only help make it possible for me to compete in Nationals but also for my trainer to come with me. This will cover expenses such as airfare, 2 hotel rooms (6 nights), transportation, etc.

Boxing has changed my life. It has become my biggest passion, drive, and focus. I would love and deeply appreciate the support to help me reach my goal at a National title and continue my journey in boxing.
