Dear Family and Friends,
I am a 7th grade student at Montverde Academy. For my scholastic merit, maturity and strength of character I’ve been nominated to represent my school and community at the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. this summer.
By attending JrNYLC, I will be joining other motivated students from around the country for a first-hand leadership/career exploration program. This powerful experience will give me the opportunity to interact with respected professionals in various fields while building relationships with students who will be tomorrow’s generation of trend-setting innovators.
Attending this Envision program will enable me to further my interest in the field of Engineering and reach my goal of becoming a Structural Engineer. I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA, and I’m also involved in activities such as National Jr Honor Society, Student Government, Builders Club, Robotics Club and Soccer at Florida Rush. Most recently, I was selected to join the state team of the Florida Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program (ODP) where I’ll go to train at the University of Montevallo in Alabama.
Without the help of my parents, I’ve decided to take ownership of this leadership challenge and raise funds through sponsorships for this life-changing experience.
My participation in this program depends on whether I can raise $2500 in sponsorships for travel & tuition. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
