2016 Bonita Buccaneer's 13U Team

Since 2012, the Bonita Buccaneers team has compiled a 51-5 record of accomplishment. Over the last four years, this team has two Q-Bowl championships and two semi-final appearances. In 2014 the team represented San Diego Youth Football and Cheer as the Desert-Pacific Regional champ and attained a third place finish at the American Youth Football National Championship. Now we have an opportunity to go back to AYF Nationals.
The 2016 Bonita Buccaneers 13U team has an opportunity to represent San Diego County at the American Youth Football National Championship in Orlando Florida. This year the 13U team has competed in the older 14U division. As a younger team, we played teams with 14 and 15 year old players. We had two losses, but played well every week and complied an eight win season with five defensive shutouts. While there is no 13U game at the Q-Bowl, there is an opportunity to play in the AYF California State Championship game as the qualifier for a 13U bid to the AYF National Championships. While all of the players and every coach are focused on winning the State Championship game, we must also prepare for a possible trip to Florida.
The team needs substantial resources to make the trip to Orlando. We have had several fundraisers during the season and now need to do more to make this trip a reality. It was not practical to do too much fundraising early, and we still need to win the State Championship game to obtain the bid to the AYF National Championships. As a team we are looking for $29,000 to send the Bonita Buccaneers 13U team to Florida.
Our hope is that every player that wants to attend, and at least one family member, can join us on this journey. On the back of this letter you will find our budget. Any and all support is appreciated. Many of our players have never had an opportunity like this. In 2014 we actually had players who had never been on a plane, traveled outside of California, or even been to Disneyland. While the trip is laser-focussed on football, many, equally important, experiences do and will take place.
Please consider donating to the team. We only have a short time to raise the funds necessary. Airfare and hotel reservations can only be made if we win the AYF California State Championship game on November 12.
