Funeral and Support Fund for Cory Cardinal

Our community grieves at the passing of our relative, friend, comrade, Cory Cardinal (Cory Charles).

Cory fought endlessly to bring light to the horrific conditions of the prison , and to the harms and violence experienced by Indigenous peoples within these colonial systems.
His words, and actions were felt and rippled outwards from the prison and beyond.
We as community members have been made stronger,
more capable to create systems of care
by his endless advocacy for Indigenous peoples
and those impacted by the violence of colonial systems
Right now his family, those closest to him need our support.
Right now we can offer his family
the care and love that Cory needed and deserved
that his family deserves

With permission from the family we are fundraising to help support funeral costs including a headstone,  cost for hotels, gas, and food for
his relatives to be able to attend his funeral.

Let us through this small act,
remember what he fought endlessly for,
to take care of our relatives,
to take care of each other,
