22,000 24 hour squat challenge.
We are Rhianna and Hannah and welcome to our page!
NHS staff are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients. So we have decided that we would like to raise some money to help out where we can.
We are going to attempt to do 22,000 squats between us in 24 hours starting midday Thursday 16th April. We will be in separate locations and will live stream the entire thing together over facebook. This works out as 8 squats each per minute for 24 hours....ouch!!
The money raised will be going directly to two separate causes. The first is the Integrated Respiratory Team under Nottingham City Care who work tirelessly visiting patients with chronic respiratory conditions who are suffering as a result of COVID 19 these patients are cared for at their own homes within the community.
The second is Ward 402 which is the
designated COVID Ward at the Royal Derby Hospital who look after patients who need
intensive care and treatment to beat this
virus.
These causes are very close to our hearts as Hannah’s sister Laurienne and her best friend Helen are both respiratory nurses who work within these teams. They’ve told us first hand how hard the teams are working and how
mentally draining it’s been for them and the
impact it is having on staff, patients and
families.
The money will be used to buy essential life
saving equipment that these health professionals need to do their job such as nebulisers
and PPE.
once completed we will safely deliver the cheques to both of them so they can make their purchases.
Thankyou for taking your time to read this and remember stay home, save lives!!
