Hi everyone.
I’ve more or less given up on everything, especially the last handful of days. Not to be overbearingly maudlin, or turn this into a therapy session, but earlier this month was 10 years since I first moved here for undergrad. Because of that, I’ve been acutely feeling how much of a failure I am, and how nothing’s really changed besides getting myself into $60k worth of debt for essentially nothing. Fun!
Thankfully, I haven’t had to deal with that many ongoing health issues like August, with the wildfire smoke and general sinus issues. Just the regular kind of pain you get when you don’t go anywhere or spend most days in bed.
And at this point, if you know me, you probably already know that trying to find a job has turned up nothing. Things haven’t even gotten as bad as we all know they will, yet! Fun! Again!
But, thanks to everyone’s help with September’s fundraiser, I was able to get more-or-less even on all of my bills, now just working through payment plans, and late fees. Genuinely, thank you for helping me out this past month, again. I don’t think I can properly express how thankful I am for you all helping me and Pooh stay housed/alive.
Below’s the breakdown of what I need to get through October:
Rent: $1175, on the 1st.
Electric bill: $93.94, due on the 7th.
Reinstating my payment plan, plus paying last month’s means that I just have October’s to go to be back to normal bill amounts.
Internet bill: $273.88, due on the 18th.
Still have lingering late fees attached, but just this month to go until I’m back to my normal bill amount.
Gas bill: $92, on the 22nd.
Back on the payment plan I mentioned last month ($52 + actual bill amount), three months to go on it after October.
Groceries: $185.
Nearly out, but should have enough to get me through this upcoming Friday (26th).
Saving for Pooh’s appointment: $180.
Next best time for Pooh’s appointment will be early in November, since we’re in the annual late summer/early fall respiratory (covid) wave, and those typically wane for a week or so after Halloween.
I don’t want to have to ask for $2300 or $2500 or whatever for the 5th month in a row (and $2000 is already too much).
Getting my internet and electric bills back to normal, plus gas bill to “manageable”, should (hopefully) let me cover November’s bills and the rest of the vet bill ($180 this month + $320 in November), within $2000. Unless I somehow get hired somewhere, and don’t need to beg for help, again. That’d be fun!
TOTAL needed: $2000
Thank you all once again. For putting up with me, and for keeping Pooh and I going.
