Assalamoalykum,

I have received a request from Islamic International Funeral Services, a highly respected and professional Muslim funeral home, to assist in covering the funeral costs of our departed brother, Atef Abdullah. He was born on March 20, 1946, and passed away on December 30, 2024, at Split Rock Rehabilitation.

Our 78-year-old brother has no one to cover the funeral expenses and is now awaiting his final resting place. Fortunately, Brother Kareem became aware of this situation and has taken the initiative. It is now our responsibility to cover these costs as soon as possible.

The total fundraise request we received is for $2000, and we urge you to help us ensure that our brother finds his final resting place swiftly. All the money will be going into covering funeral expenses, and no one from our team is benefiting from this.

It's important to emphasize that when there is no one to bear the funeral expenses, it becomes our religious duty to step in. This is a great opportunity from Allah to spend in His way and send something good for ourselves into the next life. We should make haste and use this to our advantage.

We kindly request that you include Brother Atef in your prayers, contribute, and share this fundraiser with your friends and family. Please understand that in America, there are no free funerals, and someone must shoulder the costs, including grave fees, funeral home charges, transportation fees, director's fees, grave opening and closing expenses, and more.

All funeral homes rely on the support of the community to cover these expenses, and we are striving to do the same for Brother Atef, inshaAllah.

The Janaza prayer is scheduled to be held at MAS Bronx Muslim Center located at 702 Rhinelander Ave, Bronx, NY, 10462, after Zuhr prayer. The burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery, 1033 Oregon Road, Courtlandt, NY 10567.
