Fundraiser £2000 for 2000 Fake Tickets - Mermaids

Drag Queen Story Hour UK are travelling the country to read stories! Aida H Dee The Storytime Drag Queen will be reading her very own children's books to over 3000 children during the summer holidays. Starting from the 25th July to 1st September with 69 different events across 41 different days! Click here to see all libraries

On 2022 July 5th, 9am we released our free tickets for the Drag Queen Story Hour UK 2022 Summer Tour. By 1pm that day over 2000 tickets had been fraudulently booked out by a far-right neo-nazi group. Their aim was to prevent our LGBTQ tour from going ahead.

In light of the 2000 tickets being fraudulently booked in, we are now raising £2000, £1 for every fake ticket, to go to Mermaids; a charity that helps support young queer/trans people in the UK, and their families. Mermaids are an amazing charity who create so much happiness and support for the trans youth of the UK. We would like you to consider supporting them with this fundraiser.

All tickets for this tour are now available via your local library’s front desk where your library number/card will be required. All eventbrite tickets are void. We understand for some this is not ideal. We want to apologise to everyone that this decision affects. We hope you are able to make the visit, and maybe take out a book whilst you do so.
