Hi everyone!

My name is Henry Mather, and I’m raising money for a cause that means a lot to me.

Twenty years ago, I lost my mom to ovarian cancer.

This year, in her memory, I wanted to do something meaningful that could bring hope and confidence to children facing medical hair loss of their own.

For the past 9 months, I’ve been growing my hair with one goal in mind: to donate it to Children With Hair Loss, a nonprofit organization that provides human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults experiencing medical hair loss.

But I quickly learned something important — donating the hair is only part of the journey.

Creating and fitting a custom wig for a child can cost roughly $1,500. So instead of helping just one child, I wanted to see how many we could help together.

That’s how “20 Years. 10 Wigs. A Cut for Courage.” was born.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 — enough to help fund 10 wigs for children experiencing medical hair loss. Every donation, no matter the amount, moves us closer to giving a child not just a wig, but confidence, normalcy, and a reminder that they are not facing their journey alone.

This fundraiser is deeply personal to me, but my hope is that it becomes something bigger than one haircut or one story. I hope it becomes a way for people to honor loved ones, support children facing difficult battles, and turn compassion into action.

The mission of Children With Hair Loss is "Covering Young Heads to Heal Young Hearts!" Children With Hair Loss is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults facing medically-related hair loss. When a child’s hair is lost due to Cancer treatments, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, Burns, etc., the painful effects are far deeper than just cosmetic. Each year, the number of children requesting our hair replacements increases and with support, we can continue to increase the number of children we are able to help in the future!
