Osian's Fishes, spreading joy in hospitals.

Hello, Thank you for your attention today :-)
I'm Georgina, and I'm reaching out to you in memory of my precious son, Osian. Osian's journey began far earlier than expected, born at just 23 weeks gestation. His strength and resilience shone through during his 435 days in the hospital.
After a courageous fight Osian died 20th March 2023.
Being a parent with a child in the hospital is a unique challenge. Balancing daily life, responsibilities, and the need to be at your child's side is emotionally demanding. There were moments when I had to leave Osian, knowing the medical team was there, but still feeling the weight of separation.
Osian's Fishes, as we lovingly called them, were a source of comfort. These cot soothers, made by Baby Einstein, played calming music, emitted white noise, and bathed him in a soothing blue light. They were a small yet significant solace during his time in the hospital.
In October 2023, I decided to fundraise for some cot soothers for Bristol Children's Hospital. Using my social media accounts, I reached my target in just three hours. We delivered 50 units to the hospital on what would have been Osian's second birthday, November 9, 2023.
This experience was amazing and sparked something in me. I decided that the offer of cot soothers would always be open to all hospitals and hospices in the UK. We have delivered "Osian's Fishes" from Carmarthen to Edinburgh and many places in between.
You can see a few of the amazing people that care for children in the UK who now have Osian's Fishes.

These units aren't just for the babies, though. They're for the parents, offering a small relief during the heart-wrenching moments of leaving their little ones. And they're for the incredible nurses who pour their hearts into their work.
We are currently fundraising by having a team of kind runners doing this year's Cardiff Half Marathon.
