2 Week Painting Residency, France

Hello, My name is Natalie and I'm fundraising for a 2-week painting residency in Champagne-Ardenne, France at the Chateau Orquevaux. I applied last year and didn't get my original dates, thought it was over and I'd have to reapply. Turns out I got my second choice dates for this year and they're coming up fast, May 17th-30th!

This residency is such an amazing opportunity for me as an emerging artist. Taking two weeks to devote to painting, leaving behind work, worries and washing dishes, to advance my painting. This residency broadens conversation, thought and critique by introducing my work to international artists, musicians, and writers.

After receiving both the Denis Diderot Grant and their Emerging Artist Grant, the cost of the residency comes to $2300 for room, board, and studio with some meals included. Airfare and travel to the Chateau are roughly $1500-2000. The remainder of the funding would go toward shipping painting materials, meals not included, and other incidentals.
