2 WEEK EVICTION NOTICE, NEED FUNDS

Hello, my name is Jailene. My family and I have lived in our current home in the Maryvale neighborhood for nearly 10 years. On May 10th, 2022, my family received an eviction notice to be out of our home by May 23rd, 2022. I am still in shock. Our landlord is using ‘IAW Landlord and Tenanet Act Section 33-1369’ as the reason to evict us. There is a very very small chance that a fight in the legal system would benefit us, as the laws in Arizona almost always favor the property owner. The housing crisis is WILD right now, from sky-high rents & prices on houses for sale - to these predatory rules and regulations that LITERALLY dehumanize and abuse the people.  

We want to be proactive, so we are starting this gofundme. My family and I need financial support as we begin to uproot our entire lives. Being evicted with less then two weeks is not easy for us financially nor emotionally. All the money raised will be used to help us move, rent a Uhaul, a storage space, deposit money for a new home & other cost like gas and food.  We would ideally like to rent a new home in the Maryvale area, as this neighborhood is our home, but under the circumstances, we are open to other areas.
