Hello name is Joseph Soares from Duxbury, MA

I have been working in West Virginia for a few weeks, where I met an employee of the Local VFW with my co-workers who was a very kind and friendly lady who served us and befriended the group and works at a second job as a hospice care giver. Last Saturday before Mother's day she Texted us that her Father was just killed in a motorcycle accident by a car who drove through a stop sign. Two days later before her Father was laid to rest, a massive flood hit with 5 inches of rain causing run off from the Appalachians destroying her home and all of her possessions.

I got caught up in the flood heading to my hotel and witnessed this first hand, the devastation was horrible especially in W. Maryland and

W. Virginia border.

My friends, helping a family in need is like lending to God. Nothing can bring her Father back, although any help may ease her family's burden.
