UPDATE Aug 6th 2025: As of 2 weeks ago, Pond has unfortunately passed away. I thank you all so much for the support. She did get the care she needed from the vet, but it was her time to go. Between all of her complications and age, she just couldn't hang on anymore. I was hoping to have her helped in home, but she passed in the early morning in my arms before any at home services were open. She was given medication for the pain and she seemed to go quickly once she couldn't hang on anymore. She was such a unique cat and I miss her so much with all my heart, it hurts.
Lily recently had to go in for an emergency and she has recovered wonderfully and is doing better than before. Her mental state has changed since Pond has passed, which I'm trying my best to comfort her, but I'm at least happy for her health.
RIP my sweet angel Pond
For anyone local to Boise, ID and surrounding areas who want to help: There is an abundance of leftover medicine that needs to be donated, and I am selling my artwork along with some cat supplies to recoup costs of their care. Please send me a message and I'm happy to set something up locally where we can meet.

Hi there! Lily (black shorthair) and Pond (tortoiseshell shorthair) are both elderly cats with health issues. They are roughly 11 years old, and with age comes complications. Lily has IBS and now may be diabetic, while Pond is on multiple medications for thyroid, blood pressure, and a chronic chest infection. COVID caused a huge spike in the cost of Lily's prescription food which has been unaffordable ever since then, and Pond seems to keep getting UTIs that get treated then come back, and her other illnesses may be worsening.
These cats are super wonderful, loving, cute, bratty, and comforting, and I care for them very deeply. They are essentially my children and are also medically recorded as my ESAs (emotional support animals). I adopted them a year apart roughly 9-10 years ago, so we are incredibly bonded to each other as well as them being bonded to one another.
Currently I am $2,500 in debt due to several vet visits and an emergency vet visit, and I'm drowning in the interest rate. They are needing to go back in for more testing, but due to unfortunate unseen circumstances in life and maxing out the card used for vet visits, I am not financially able to take them back in for further diagnosis and care.
It pains me to make this fundraiser as I know times are tough for everyone, but I'm desperate to hang onto my babies and get them the care they deserve and need. If I had to rehome them to get cared for, I truly don't think I could function.
The goal of this fundraiser is to pay off the current debt incurred so I can have my credit card cleared up and able to take them in while making more manageable payments so this doesn't happen again. Once the bills are caught up if enough is raised, I will be changing providers and closing the card out due to the criminally high interest rate charged on the debt.
Please, if you're unable to donate, at least share this fundraiser. It would mean the world to me, and my babies would appreciate being happy and healthy in their senior years. I'm really trying the best I can to get more money between working and freelancing, but it's not cutting it.
Thank you so much from me as well as Lily and Pond!
