2 family homes burnt down in glass fire. Donation.

Hello I’m Maya Bauman. Daughter to Aaron & Michelle. Granddaughter to joy. I’m from Deer park, California. 

My families house and my childhood home along with my grandmothers house up the road from my parents both burned to the ground last night in the glass fire in Deer Park, California.

I created this fundraiser for my family to hopefully help my 83 year old grandmother an amazing artist, my father who is an amazing chef, but also handicapped in a wheel chair, and my mother who is a amazing Chef as well and lived in this home for 35+ years, and care taker for my father and grandmother. I was born & raised here. Now my daughter was creating forever memories at “gramma & pampas house”. 

Everything, gone.

My mother and father had 5 minutes to get out before they said the house was going to be in flames.  
Leading up to this the insurance companies wouldn’t even give my mom proper fire coverage because of where she lived and then this happens.
We lost our two kitties, aviary of birds, and our chickens. They were able to grab the 4 pups. We are devastated to say the least.
This money raised will directly go to my family, for basic necessities, food, a new mobile scooter for my father his burned in the fire, finding a house for them all to live while we clean up the rubble and soot, then make a plan for what’s to come next.  My talented mother and father have been amazing chefs in the culinary scene in the Napa valley for 40+ years they owned the wappo bar bistro in Calistoga, ca for 18 years. My father opened a cafe in Napa in the 80’s that had Napa first espresso machine. Now in recent years they do private parties and caterings, all of their cooking supplies for my mother and fathers amazing meals are all gone. My mother and father are so humble, amazing gardeners, friends, kind and giving to everyone. My mother would always bring the whole neighborhood together with her Sunday homemade woodfired pizzas on sunnyside.

I know it’s asking a lot during these difficult times for everyone, our heart goes out to all of our neighbors and to everyone who’s been effected in the Napa valley. We appreciate the support! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
