WASHINGTON HEIGHTS NEW YORK • At around 5:00am on the morning of June 4, 2020, an electrical fire started on a apartment on the 5th floor and escalated up to 2 other apartments on the 6th floor. Everyone made it out safely but there is significant damage to all three of these apartments. The lights in apartments on both floor were malfunctioning days prior to this. The superintendent was notified and was scheduled to check on the wire malfunctions the day of the fire but the worst already hit the apartment building.  

These families have lived in the building for years and they are have the best hearts I know. Nobody deserves going through something like this especially during a pandemic like we are all facing now with the Covid-19(Coronavirus). They are hard- working people just trying to support their family, now it’s disrupted by this tragedy. These donations will help them with the damage costs of the apartment and restore valuable items they possessed.
