2 200 kms in 10 days for underprivileged Children
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
I invite you to join me on a heartfelt journey of compassion and remembrance.
Brigita, my absolute everything, the strongest of souls, who tragically lost her battle with lung cancer in February this year, had a wish that I am determined to fulfill.
She dreamed of making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children, and in her memory, I will be cycling 2200 kilometers from Stockholm, Sweden to Panevezys, Lithuania, purely self supported.
This journey is not just about the distance; it's about the impact we can make together. Brigita's wish was to bring hope, joy, and support to children in need, and with your help, we can make this dream a reality ❤️
Here’s how you can contribute:
Donate: Every contribution brings us closer to providing essential resources, education, and opportunities for underprivileged children. All proceeds will go to the 'Kindness Foundation - "not about me" - "ne apie mane"
Spread the Word: Share Brigita's story and our mission with your network. Awareness and community support are crucial.
This journey is a tribute to Brigita's generous spirit and her unwavering commitment to helping others. Together, we can turn her wish into a lasting legacy of love and kindness.
Support the Cyclist (me): Cheer me on, give me much needed encouragement to continue to keep turning the pedals, no matter what lies ahead. I will be sharing my daily route on social media channels, feel free to join my ride, it will get without doubt pretty lonely and daunting at times.
Thank you for standing with me and supporting this meaningful cause. Together, we can create a brighter future for many children in need.
Background
I have written and unwritten this so many times and still I cannot find the right words to say, I don’t know if I ever will.
During the early hours of Tuesday 13th February 2024, my everything, literally my ‘everything’ lost her physical battle against cancer……
Brigita was one of a kind, the strongest, the bravest and the most loving person I have ever met.
She put life into years and not years into life. Quality not quantity. She sprinkled her magic on everything she touched.
When we spoke about the fight against cancer, she would be quick in correcting me ‘little Brigita against cancer, not exactly a fight is it’
Brigita mentally beat cancer, through her sheer determination to capture the moments, she continued to smile, think positive and to pave the way ahead even during the roughest of times.
I hold dearly the incredible memories we built, hoping one day I will be able to look upon these without a profound pain as I have now, but to look upon them and draw strength.
Babes, we just knew how to do life, we cracked it, we nailed it – together we were life
I am not sure exactly now how I do life without you, but as every ride we rode together, we will figure it out. I know that you will be looking down on me and continuing to inspire me every single day.
A friend kindly wrote to me ‘Day by day, step by step, tap into Brigita’s strength and she will help you, Brigita will live on through you and she will always be with you’ ❤️
I Love You Always & Forever ❤️
