We are mourning the loss of our brother, son, uncle, friend, dreamer, artist... wanderer Mayowa Chinedum Ojo, who has departed from us April 9th, 2020.
Mayowa was many things to so many people around the world. He used his passion for art and his love for travel to express himself and his work to others. He loved music, photography, coding and cooking, and poured his talents into everything he set his mind to. Mayowa especially loved to learn and loved to teach, whether that was through mentoring other artists and coders, encouraging those around him to dream bigger, or convincing us to do "hackathons" of just pure creation and collaboration.
From those inspired by him online, to those lucky enough to know him in person, Mayowa's life reminds us all to fearlessly chase our dreams, think outside the box, work hard, notice the beauty around us and to cheer on those around us.
Mayowa was a passionate soul that was determined to leave his mark on the canvas of life by his work and results.
We know his love for travel has taken him to many amazing places, but with his last journey, it took him to a place we wish we could all some day call home. It took him to Heaven. With the sudden passing of Mayowa, we created this page to support his immediate family with the cost of funeral and final expenses.
Words cannot express our loss but we cherish his time with us. Although his life was cut short, our son, brother, and friend lived his life here on earth to the fullest. Those fortunate to be close to Mayowa remember his love for Rurouni-Kenshin who said "You can die anytime, but living takes true courage"...and Mayowa truly lived courageously.
