Recently my father received a tongue cancer diagnosis. The doctors are currently recommending an 8-week cycle of chemotherapy and radiation as the cancer is inoperable. Unfortunately, the cost of chemotherapy and radiation are not covered fully under insurance. My parents are both retired and the out of pocket costs would put a tremendous strain on their fixed income. I am reaching out to friends and family for any assistance you might be able to give to attempt to ease the financial strain of accumulating medical bills. My father is someone who has worked hard his entire life and is not someone to ever ask for help, but the expense of treatment was not something that my parents ever anticipated or planned for. Anything that could help ease some of the financial burden of this time would be greatly appreciated and would help take some of the stress and anxiety out of very stressful and scary situation.
