Kidney transplant for Mrs. Jemima A. Amponsah
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mavis Gyaase and I’m raising funds to support Mrs. Jemima A. Amponsah’s kidney transplant.
Mrs. Jemima Agyeiwaa Amponsah is a 37-year-old female Primary School teacher in Ghana. She has been diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Disease and has been on haemodialysis since November, 2021. She initially received dialysis twice a week and it was later increased to thrice-a-week since. Whiles on dialysis in Ghana, she encountered several life threatening complications and was frequently on admission at the hospital. Due to the complications, she has not been to work since she started dialysis in 2021.
She was counselled for kidney transplantation which has been shown to be less costly in the long run, improve survival and quality of life. Based on the doctor’s advice she travelled to India in October 2022 with a prospective donor for a kidney transplant.
Her family is however faced with financial challenges which have made it difficult to pay for the transplant operation to be done. Doctors have however advised that the transplant be done quickly to prevent further complications. Your donations will help to get the transplant done so that she can return home and to her work and to her family. God bless you for helping.
