Help Kimmy’s Fight Against Cancer

Today our beautiful Kimmy Goughnour, who means so much to so many of us and is so selfless, will be going through a 10 hour radical surgery to remove a large portion of her tongue. The surgeons will then rebuild her tongue using a portion of muscle and veins that they will take from her forearm. This comes after a diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma after finding a lump on the bottom side of her tongue. Quite the diagnosis for anyone but especially for a 37 year old woman who has never smoked or chewed tobacco a day in her life. After surgery kimmy will be in the hospital for 7 days. Due to Covid 19, she is not allowed a single visitor during her whole hospital stay. Once she is home she will not be able to work for 30 days. After 3 weeks of rest and recovery she will start radiation. 6 weeks, 5 days a week. We are heartbroken over all of this. Cancer doesn’t care who it effects. No one deserves it. Including our kimmy. The girl who constantly puts everyones needs above her own. The girl who does everything in her power to help everyone she can at all times, even if that means putting herself out. Our goal here is to take away the un needed and added stress of how she will support herself. How will she pay her rent, bills etc. We hope to raise enough money that her main focus can be on kicking cancers ass.
